George's Story
A clinician forged by service. Trained in person-centered, trauma-informed care.
George Boyd is a licensed clinical social worker who served in the United States Army as an infantryman from 2012–2015, serving a combat tour in Afghanistan in 2012.
In 2015 he moved back home to Texas to pursue higher education at Tarrant County College. After earning his Associate of Arts, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Arlington for his Bachelor of Social Work — graduating with honors in 2019 as a first-generation college graduate.
He was then accepted into the advanced-standing Master of Social Work program at UTA, specializing in mental health and substance abuse counseling, and graduated in 2020. His clinical foundation has been shaped by work at a psychiatric hospital, nursing home, and residential treatment center.
In 2023 George answered a calling — fulfilling a lifelong dream of opening his own private practice to continue serving his community and fighting the unseen war at home. Clinical therapy and positive mental health are much more than a career to George. They are a passion and a creed.
"Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act."
