Therapy for teens — and the families who love them
Adolescence is its own season — and it deserves a clinician who knows how to walk it with both compassion and clinical depth. At Homefront Healing we offer therapy specifically tailored to teens (and at Carrie Cotter's discretion, children of all ages) with a focus on building trust, processing big feelings, and giving young people real tools to navigate what they're facing.
Who we work with
- Teens 13+ seen by George Boyd, LCSW-S
- Children and teens of all ages seen by Carrie Cotter, LPC-A
- Families navigating parent-teen dynamics, school transitions, divorce, grief, or major change
What we work on
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
- School stress, social anxiety, and identity
- Family conflict, blended-family dynamics, divorce
- Trauma and grief
- Behavioral concerns and attention/focus challenges
- Faith and identity questions, for families who want it integrated
How sessions work
The first session typically includes the teen and at least one parent or caregiver — to establish trust, set goals, and clarify confidentiality. From there, sessions move at a pace and structure that fits the client. Telehealth and in-person both available.
A note for parents
You know your teen. We start from that. We'll partner with you on goals while protecting the privacy and trust that makes therapy work for young people.
